Sayres is seeking an experienced Mid Level Acquisition Analyst in Washington, DC with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in JPAS.  

The Mid Acquisition Analyst will support the DDG 51 Shipbuilding Program, an Acquisition Category 1 Program, and assist senior staff by providing acquisition support in one or more of the following areas

  • Provide all encompassing support (research, analysis, reporting, briefing) of DoD acquisition requirements, including:
    • Support Program Office acquisition activities in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.02 (Operation of the Defense Acquisition System) and the associated statutory and regulatory requirements of ACAT I programs.
    • Guide and assist the development of acquisition requirements such as Acquisition Decision Memoranda, Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Program Baseline, Selected Acquisition Report, Defense Acquisition Executive Summary, etc.
    • Develop draft inputs to DoD Acquisition documents, white papers, and briefing material for Major Decision Reviews and Gate Reviews.
    • Assist in the development of Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), contracts, and similar tasking.
    • Guide and assist all elements of developing future contracting strategies, including navigating the requirements for future multiyear procurement authority.
  • Provide contract administration support including coordination of Award Fee Evaluation Boards, Contractor Performance Assessment Reports (CPARs) and Purchase Request (PR) process.
  • Maintain sensitive program data in accordance with Navy policy and procedures.
  • Provide analytical, management, and strategic support for program planning and execution.
  • Research, accumulate, and analyze data to prepare draft correspondence, white papers, minutes, briefings, and reports in response to external queries.
  • Interact effectively in fast-paced, quick-turn environment and maintain robust communication within team and with Navy Program Office.
  • Provide analytical, management, and strategic support for program planning and execution.
  • Participate in frequent and primary customer interaction.
  • Apply fact-finding and investigative techniques.
  • Utilize sound configuration management to maintain program office documentation archives.
  • Develop minutes, briefings, and records.
  • Maintain sensitive program data in accordance with Navy policy and procedures.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience OR a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of ten (10) years' relevant experience.
  • Experience with achieving multiyear procurement authority and developing multiyear procurement contracts or significant experience with other contracting efforts.
  • Advanced knowledge of DoD 5000, Operation of the Defense Acquisition System, and the associated statutory and regulatory requirements of ACAT I programs Knowledge of and experience with Requests for Proposals, proposal reviews, and Award Fee / Incentive Fee Evaluations.
  • Active Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to professionally represent self and team to government client.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while juggling competing demands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
