Sayres provides PMW 760 support in Systems Engineering (SE), Configuration Management (CM), System of Systems (SoS) Testing and Evaluation, Technical / On-Site Support, Systems Security Engineering, Installation Planning, Design Management / Drawing Development, and Procurement Management.


Responsibilities


In support of PMW 760, the Senior Systems Engineer will:

  • Provide technical assessments for the Government regarding the alignment of PEO C4I's PoR productions SE and installation milestones to the Government's C4I Baseline production and installation efforts.
  • Produce C4I Top Level Design Documents (TLDDs). Involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to complete this task. Involves providing guidance and technical oversight for the efforts to develop Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) representations of Aegis BMD C4I capabilities, provide technical recommendations on MBSE and DoDAF Architecture Framework abilities to close C4I capability and performance gaps.
  • Develop MBSE representations that are compatible with NIWC PAC's Executable Architecture Management System (ExAMS) and work with the ExAMS team to assess and evaluate Aegis BMD C4I system performance and capabilities.
  • Support Aegis BMD as a SME for developing and executing the C4I MBSE project as an inherent follow-on to the Aegis BMD C4I Top Level Design Document.
  • Develop a repeatable framework that enables the integration of C4I performance models, schedule models, and cost models to support agile acquisition processes.
  • Ensure produced MBSE C4I architecture models are compatible with ExAMS.

Education, Work Experience, and Skills Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Master's degree from an accredited university required. Master's degree may be substituted with a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of additional relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with Executable Architecture Management System (ExAMS)
  • Experience with Aegis Sea-Based Weapon System
  • Experience with Aegis BMD C4I Top Level Design Document (TLDD)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project is desired
  • SECRET clearance
