Responsibilities

The Ship Construction Engineer will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Provide technical engineering services and program support to US Navy shipbuilding program including acquisition management, systems analyses, cost analyses, and life-cycle management.
  • Perform technical and cost/schedule trade-off studies and assessments for new construction and total ownership cost efforts.
  • Interface with system or program vendors and stakeholders regarding the technical aspects of engineering projects.
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other program technical documentation.
  • Apply engineering knowledge and experience to perform such functions as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance within 90 days of contract award.
