The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing the requisite engineering and technical services to support the ongoing execution of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) In-Service Engineering (ISE) roles and responsibilities for Code 442, and electrical power and generation systems installed on surface ships, submarines, and assault craft.
  • Providing engineering, technical, logistics, and program expertise support to execute the NSWCPD ISE support functions.
  • Performing analyses and trade-off studies related to technical, qualitative or operational issues, and reviewing test plans to ensure operational capability requirements are met.
  • Developing and reviewing plans for systems and ship integration, test and support development, implementation, and maintenance of manpower and training plans and operational documentation.
  • Applying understanding of basic budgetary and financial management principles and techniques.
  • Providing oral and written communication and developing presentations and reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.




Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a graduate of a military school that provided in-depth knowledge of naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation OR a graduate of a trade, industrial or correspondence school for engineering.
  • Two (2) years of experience providing Direct Fleet Support for U.S. Navy electrical generation and distribution systems.
  • Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS prior to start date.
