Responsibilities

Counterintelligence Analyst for IIR Support (Contingent)

 

Sayres is seeking experienced Counterintelligence Analysts to produce Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs) to support our client in Quantico, VA.  The analyst will be knowledgeable with DoD CI operations and analysis, to include the use of automated analytic tools and systems to assist in the understanding of the relationships between foreign entities, cleared companies, and threats or vulnerabilities to information and technology resident in cleared facilities.

 

The analyst will review DSS Suspicious Contact Reports (SCRs) and analyze the reported information to determine if it satisfies DSS, Department of Defense (DoD) Cyber Intelligence (CI) or other agency's collection requirements. The Government will then determine the suitability of the SCR for processing into IIRs. All IIRs will be drafted in accordance with (IAW) DSS and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Standard Operating Procedures.   Successful candidates will:

  • Apply the principles of intelligence research to analyze, evaluate, and interpret raw data collected from established sources to produce finished intelligence on subject matter in functional areas.
  • Assist government personnel to plan, organize and coordinate intelligence research and analysis, taking into consideration actual or potential problems in finding available or suitable sources of data. Assistance shall include the identification of intelligence seams, gaps, shortfalls, problems in collecting information, and recommendations for corrective action as well as an assessment of the overall risk.
  • Research, screen, collect, and evaluate volumes of source data and CI materials and information.
  • Assimilate threat data received together with the routine information developed with field offices during assessments and staff assistance visits.
  • Write tailored threat products for Agency use.
  • Prepare, present and defend portions of finished intelligence products and IIRs.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years of experience with counterintelligence analysis, report writing, and/or HUMINT collection production and reporting.
  • Experience in writing IIRs.
  • Experience using Intelligence Community message handling and retrieval systems such as M3 and TAC; HOT-R; Intelink-S;TAC-S classified information retrieval system; Palantir.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of data in the subject field and for the production of reports and assessments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop enduring relationships with U.S. Government Intelligence Community partner agencies for information sharing.
  • Current Secret security clearance.  Clearance must be verified in JPAS prior to start date.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Highly Desired:

  • Current Top Secret security clearance and SCI eligibility. Clearance must be verified in JPAS.
