Responsibilities

Sayres is seeking experienced strategic Communications Specialists to support our client in Quantico, VA.  The Communication Specialist will be knowledgeable with analyzing audiences, identifying strategic themes and messages, developing messages and products, and identifying methods to deliver those messages in the appropriate and effective channels.  The Communications Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and implement communications tools to facilitate the understanding of DSS to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analyses to inform the development of messages, themes, and delivery channels.
  • Chart agency performance with respect to strategic plan execution.
  • Develop and use a state-of-the-art knowledge management system.
  • Develop and implement communications tools to facilitate the understanding of the Strategic Management Office (SMO) to key internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Communications, Knowledge Management, Performance Management or a related field of study.
  • At least seven years' experience in developing and assisting with the execution of strategic communications plans.
  • At least three years' experience in DSS or in some element of industrial security.
  • Knowledgeable of physical, cyber, and personnel security requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to gain the trust of senior DSS leadership.
  • Current Top Secret security clearance.  Clearance must be verified in JPAS.

Highly Desired:

  • Excellent PowerPoint and graphic skills with some video editing experience.
