The Software Administrator will be responsible for providing on-site waterfront program support services to include: 

  • Team management
  • Administrative services
  • Logistical
  • Shipboard training
  • Technical assistance
  • Event planning and support
  • Shipboard Information Technology (IT) services support

In addition, the Software Administrator will:

  • Provide overall management and serve as the administrative lead for all NTCSS functions per the statement of work and as required by the Task Order Manager for New Construction NTCSS database builds.
  • Develop computer-based programs to build, update and maintain databases.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:

  • High School diploma and 5 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience or related experience in software support operations, administration, and management to include all aspects of software support administration, training, personnel management, engineering maintenance support, and related logistics actions support.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in NTCSS and UNIX Administration.

  • Minimum of 5 years support for shipboard unit software support or related support to include one of more of the following tasks: software administration, new ship construction NTCSS database builds, training, personnel management, engineering assessments support, and/or logistics actions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership in writing and presentations.

  • Ability to address emergent tasks and resolve complex systems issues; ability to serve as a help desk lead, service provider, and responder.

  • Experience in organizing and executing shipboard-related events.

  • Able to demonstrate proven leadership ability to lead and manage a service-oriented support staff in all aspects of shipboard software operations, personnel administration, training, inspections, and related operations.

  • Maintain a secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS.



  • Shipyard and shipboard software support operations experience.
  • College degree preferred.
