Responsibilities

Sayres & Associates is seeking qualified, skilled Business Continuity Planners in support of a government customer. The Planner will be responsible for the following:

  1. Support the customer's planning for mission assurance of operational and business functions.
  2. Interpret government regulations and applicable codes, and advise government management on the best course of action to ensure compliance.
  3. Develop programs, procedures, and contingency plans based on a risk approach and propose solutions that monitor, evaluate, and enable resolution of safety and continuity of operations compliance.

Additional duties include:

  1. Perform business impact analysis and risk assessments of essential functions and/or information systems.
  2. Oversee the development, integration, and exercising of contingency plans.
  3. Prepare and conduct briefings and overviews to educate Agency personnel.
  4. Prepare and submit position and information papers in response to government requirements.

This is a regular full-time position (1st Shift) with less than 10% travel and no relocation. The position description is only meant to be a representative summary of the major responsibilities and accountabilities performed by the incumbents of this position.  The incumbents may be requested to perform position-related tasks other than those stated in this description.

POSITION CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD AND GOVERNMENT FUNDING

 

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements 

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:  

  1. Bachelor's degree and minimum of two to three years of work experience or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience in performing three or more areas of Continuity of Government, Continuity of Operations, Information Technology Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Planning, Crisis Management, Information Security/Operations, Continuity Strategic Planning and Policy, and Enterprise Risk Management.
  3. Participation in national level homeland security or continuity of operations exercises.
  4. TS/SCI or the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Desired:  

  1. Certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) or a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
