Responsibilities

Sayres & Associates is seeking qualified Facility Engineers to provide professional engineering services in support of facility management, maintenance, and operation. The Facility Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  1. Interact with other contractors, government personnel, vendors, and other NGA personnel to coordinate and accomplish major facility improvements and alterations, as well as oversee and support facilities operations.
  2. Support customer facility operations primarily CONUS with the potential for performance in the CENTCOM AOR.
  3. Prepare and monitor construction and maintenance projects in support of customer operations and maintenance.
  4. Develop and implement various engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and designs for operations, maintenance, and support requirements to maintain various facilities.
  5. Direct/conduct studies involving multi-disciplinary engineering programs for facility modifications, operation and maintenance and construction.
  6. Conduct engineering studies related to developing specialized facilities with unique standard.
  7. Validate instructions for facility operations, maintenance, and repair.

This is a regular full-time position (1st Shift) with less than 10% travel and no relocation. Qualifications & Clearance Requirements 

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:  

  1. Bachelor's degree and five to thirteen years' work experience or equivalent experience related to the job requirements.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  3. Understanding of DOD engineering procedures and policies.
  4. Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems including resolution analysis.
  5. Strong leadership skills, including leading multidisciplinary teams.
  6. Strong multi-tasking skills.
  7. Knowledge of building or facility plan, design, configuration, and equipment maintenance.
  8. Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) standards.
  9. Knowledge of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and Uptime Institute Data Center.
  10. TS/SCI or the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Preferred:  

Knowledge of ASHRAE.

Desired (Education and Training):  

Varying degrees in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, Professional Engineering Licenses held in the 50 states or a US Territory.
