Sayres & Associates is seeking qualified Process Improvement Engineers/Specialists to support a government customer. The Process Improvement Engineer/Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  1. Apply process improvement, reengineering methodologies, and best practice principles to design and implement process modernization and improvements to projects, workflows, systems, etc.
  2. Coordinate and manage analysis evaluations and quality assessments for proper implementation of programs, systems specifications, and quality standards, ensuring best possible support to customers and teams.
  3. Demonstrate experience establishing performance measures, monitoring and analyzing said performance metrics to identify and implement performance based improvements.
  4. Improve workflows and processes to best support mission at hand (area of support will vary based on customer set).
  5. Perform as a team player, demonstrating savvy communication skills, working closely with senior engineers/specialists or task leads.
  6. Clearly convey information in understandable terms to those not as familiar with process or workflow.
  7. Provide quantitative and qualitative feedback about the impacts of process changes in clear terms.
  8. Demonstrate experience in distinct functional or cross-functional analysis/assessment methodologies and associated tools and include relevant/associated certifications (e.g., ITIL, Six Sigma, CMMI, and ISO) and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices.

This is a regular full-time position (1st Shift) with less than 10% travel and no relocation. Qualifications & Clearance Requirements 

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:  

  1. Bachelor's degree and five or more years of work experience or equivalent experience.
  2. Familiar with AGILE processes.
  3. Experience leading group projects/efforts.
  4. TS/SCI or the ability to obtain TS/SCI.


  1. Master's degree in Mathematics, Business Management, Operations Research or System Engineering.
  2. Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certification.
  3. Quality Management Certification.
  4. Experience creating and delivering Lean Six Sigma training.
  5. Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) experience.
  6. Experience using Visio and Minitab.
