In support of the PMS 377/LHA program, the Senior Logistician will be responsible for the following:

  1. Serve as senior on-site Logistics and Supply support Lead to the Program Office.
  2. Manage and maintain the configuration of ship Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems in the Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) or similar configuration database.
  3. Use engineering drawings and data to develop hull, mechanical, electrical, and electronic system and equipment configuration, logistic, and alteration records.
  4. Interpret results of sight validations of ship systems and equipment.
  5. Provide support to the logistics support team preparing logistics documentation that establishes the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment, and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.  Determine maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modify maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components.
  6. Manage records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
  7. Track logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities.
  8. Review configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment.
  9. Document equipment, component, and parts conditions and identify logistic support documentation to be included, such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
  10. Research and report material allowance and ship specification technical issues, SPETERL and GPETE procurement reports.
  11. Review GFE ILS checklist certifications, Sked A listings, GFE pushed material listings, AEL baselines and configuration and logistics data to ensure compliance with NAVSEA SCLSIS Tech Spec.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements 

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:  

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Specialized experience with a minimum of 10 years of logistics/acquisition experience with Department of Defense programs with a minimum of six (6) years of Logistics Analyst experience OR equivalent in Navy shipbuilding and/or repair/maintenance.
  3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills for determining and providing logistics support.
  4. Solid experience with the SCLSIS process.
  5. Experience in Haystack (or equivalent), MERLIN, Part number research, and in building Logistics Support Information packages for parts purchase.
  6. High level of knowledge in a variety of ship systems and equipment and the ability to translate that knowledge into building LSI packages.
  7. Able to work in a ship/shipyard environment.
  8. Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance if required by the contract.

Highly Desired:

           Experience developing Logistics Support Information (LSI) package for US Navy Platform systems and equipment.


           Prior military service, particularly Navy.
