Responsibilities

In support of the PMS 377/SSC program, the SSC Test and Evaluation Technician will be responsible for the following:

  1. Provide overall test and evaluation support to craft shipbuilding program on the waterfront.
  2. Serve as the front-line liaison to the Navy Project Office/Officer.
  3. Duties include, but not limited to,
      1. Conduct test plan preparations and analysis.
      2. Compliance and alignment of shipyard practices and procedures with prescribed Navy requirements.
      3. Produce metrics and reports.
      4. Perform analysis of test data.
      5. Shipboard validation of test requirements.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements 

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:  

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of five (5) years' experience in shipbuilding, specifically in the test and evaluation of amphibious ships for the US Navy. (This experience may have been accumulated in a Naval Shipyard, a private shipyard performing maintenance or new construction work, or on active duty in the US Navy).
  3. Able to work in a ship/shipyard environment.
  4. Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance if required by the contract.

Desired:

  1. Specialized experience in the use, maintenance, or revision of test and evaluation requirements and guidance documentation.
  2. Proficient in the use of Windows PC and Microsoft Office software.
