The Multimedia Subject Matter Expert (SME) Journeyman will report to the VTC Operations Team Lead/VTC Operations Deputy Team Lead and will be responsible for the following:

  1. Provide support and service in the VTC Operations Team supporting a DoD organization with video-teleconferencing services.
  2. Provide on-site support primarily at main customer site location.
  3. Provide occasional alternate or satellite site support and/or travel as needed within Washington, D.C. surrounding area.
  4. Schedule, coordinate, execute, monitor, and support on and off-site video-teleconferencing events; monitor in-progress video-teleconferencing events in conference rooms on-site and from remote location(s); analyze performance issues, troubleshoot and report systems issues to customer organization and Engineering staff.
  5. Perform daily, weekly and monthly conference room and teleconferencing equipment preventive maintenance and operations checks and services; secure conference rooms and video-teleconferencing venues as required.
  6. Provide support as needed to Engineering Staff for cable installation or equipment rack wiring or general troubleshooting.
  7. Provide support as needed to the Multimedia Production Team for setting up and executing outdoor or off-site ceremonies or events.
  8. Submit and manage service requests and work orders for video-teleconferencing events on multiple unclassified and classified networks; de-conflict and resolve scheduling issues for video-teleconferencing events and conference venues.
  9. Generate and comply with customer organization and contractual recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements and non-recurring and special reports; develop and implement metrics to capture processes and procedures and quality control and assurance processes and procedures; perform other tasks as assigned and demonstrate proficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail in assigned duties.
  10. Shoot and record classified and unclassified television programs, motion pictures, music videos, documentaries, or news and sporting events; organize digital footage with video editing software; collaborate with a director to determine the overall vision of the production; discuss filming and editing techniques with a director to improve a scene; select the appropriate equipment, such as the type of lens or lighting; shoot or edit a scene based on the director's vision and be familiar with editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere and Avid.
  11. Use digital cameras and other photo equipment to capture classified and unclassified still frame images of military and government personnel and official events.
  12. Utilize experience editing pictures in computer applications such as Adobe Photoshop, digital photography, and professional lighting equipment.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements 

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:  

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Five (5) to 10 years' multimedia experience to include:

         a.  Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on After Effects, Premier, and Photoshop.

         b.  Digital cameras and other photo equipment to capture classified and unclassified

              still frame images of military and government personnel and official events.

         c.  Editing pictures in computer applications such as Adobe Photoshop.

         d.  Digital photography and professional lighting equipment.

         e.  Video production, editing, and production equipment.

         f.  Microsoft Office.

         g.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.

         h.  Framing and composition.

          i.  Lighting and audio for video.

          j.  Directing talent, writing, story boarding, and pre-production.

          k.  Professional video cameras and DSLRs.

           l.  Set and studio lighting, shooting, green screen keying, and audio editing.

      3.  Ability to complete assigned and recurring tasks with limited supervision.

      4.  Ability to lift and carry video equipment with or without accommodation.

      5.  Current Top Secret clearance verifiable in JPAS and be SCI eligible.
