The Project Production Analyst will be responsible for the following:

  1. Support the ZUMWALT Class Destroyer Program.
  2. Work closely with Sayres on-site team to support the DDG 1000 Program Manager's Representative with production management and technical analysis of ship construction, test, and integration processes.
  3. Identify and evaluate shipyard production metrics. Analyze the data and apply waterfront analysis to the data. Evaluate readiness for milestones and other major events.
  4. Provide technical and managerial oversight onboard the ship by monitoring the production progress and interfacing with shipyard production and test personnel regarding Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) issues.
  5. Provide GFE management oversight support, including tracking of issues, deckplate analysis of readiness to received equipment, and more.
  6. Conduct shipchecks in support of change verification and other projects necessary for trials, delivery, and crew support.
  7. Support deficiency management processes as required.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements 

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:  

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of shipbuilding exposure/experience. Education and/or similar industrial setting will be considered as substitute.
  3. Familiarity with surface ship design and construction operations.
  4. Knowledge of ship delivery and post-delivery processes.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Experience in analyzing data and metrics.
  7. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  8. Active Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS or the ability to apply and obtain clearance upon selection.


  1. Bachelor's degree and/or Shipyard Apprenticeship/Credentials.
  2. Experience with integration testing and trials, including deficiency management, corrective action tracking, and engineering change management processes.
  3. Shipyard technical and / or production analysis experience.
  4. Shipyard financial and / or earned value management analysis experience.
  5. Shipyard GFE management / process experience.
  6. Proficiency with MS Access and/or MS Project.
