Responsibilities

The Defense Security Service (DSS) leadership and the Industrial Operations (IO) leadership require Industrial Operations Senior Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) to successfully establish an Operations Center (OC). The purpose of the OC's mission is to plan and track operational activity while DSS integrates new mission implementation methodology. The SMEs will assist and function in at least one or multiple areas in support of the following senior personnel: Senior Special Assistant to the Assistant Deputy Director, Operations (SA ADDO); Deputy Senior Special Assistant to the Assistant Deputy Director, Operations (SA ADDO); Assistant to Risk Management Lead.

 

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in the area of business administration.
  2. Minimum of 15 years' experience implementing the National Industrial Security Program or related program.
  3. Minimum of 15 years' experience interacting (briefing) with high-ranking officials.
  4. Minimum of 15 years' experience working in an operations center or similar environment and working in the Department of Defense or US Government.
  5. Proven ability to produce leadership decision products such as point papers, briefs, and conduct briefings to senior personnel.
  6. Ability to develop and implement strategy related to field operations.
  7. Experience producing leadership decision products, developing plans, conducting conferences, and presenting briefs to senior leadership
  8. Able to work multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  9. One of the three SMEs positions requires experience in Risk Management development, implementation, and operations.
  10. Current Top Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Minimum of five (5) years' working in risk management or closely related field. Work related experience examples are, but not limited to, areas of insurance, securities, investments, and other financial vehicles.
  2. Post-secondary degree program with an emphasis on risk management.
  3. Minimum of 15 years' experience writing technical manuals, operational directives, and/or policy documents.
  4. Experience with Technical Writing and developing technical manuals and procedures.
  5. If selected, must be able to start work on short notice, in as little as three days.
