Responsibilities

 

The Defense Security Service (DSS) leadership will establish a Defense Landing Team and Defense Vetting Directorate (DVD) to support DSS new mission areas. Leadership require an Operations Research analyst to support DSS processes and NISPOM execution requirements to successfully establish the DVD. The Operations Research analyst will assist and function in at least one or multiple Task areas in support of DSS personnel. Duties will include but are not limited to: development and execution support for Strategic Plans related to the integration of DSS with the NBIB; evaluation of the processes; development of new DSS career maps, training, and certification requirements; program administration; program management; metrics development; logistics and facilities management; human capital development and management; and strategic training and transformation support. The position will be located at Fort Meade, MD.

 

POSITION IS CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD AND GOVERNMENT FUNDING

 

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in the area of Operations Research or a related field. (Work experience may substitute for a specific degree in Operations Research.)
  2. Minimum of 10 years' experience in operations research analysis in a large organization in the development of strategic plans and execution of transition, personnel, logistics, facilities, and training requirements.
  3. Minimum of 10 years' experience interacting (briefing) with high-ranking officials.
  4. Minimum of 5 years' experience working in an operations research or similar environment and working in the Department of Defense or US Government.
  5. Proven ability to produce leadership decision products such as point papers, briefs, and conduct briefings to senior personnel.
  6. Experience producing leadership decision products, developing plans, conducting conferences, and presenting briefs to senior leadership
  7. Able to work multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Current Top Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Minimum of five (5) years' working in Operations Research at DSS in support of strategic development and transition in a security related government or military organization.
  2. A Master's Degree in Operations Research or a related field.
  3. If selected, must be able to start work on short notice, in as little as three days.
