Responsibilities

The Defense Security Service (DSS) leadership requires a Strategic Planner to support the establishment and execution of a Defense Landing Team and a Defense Vetting Directorate (DVD). The purpose of the support effort is to develop, plan, and track operational activity while DSS integrates new mission implementation methodology. The Strategic Planner will assist and function in at least one or multiple Task areas to include: Administrative Management; Program Management and Metrics Development; Strategic Planning; Logistics and Facilities Management; Human Capital Strategic Planning; and Training/Transformation Planning. The position will be located at Fort Meade, MD.

 

POSITION IS CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD AND GOVERNMENT FUNDING

 

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in the area of business administration.
  2. Minimum of 15 years' experience implementing the National Industrial Security Program or related program.
  3. Minimum of 15 years' experience interacting (briefing) with high-ranking officials.
  4. Minimum of 15 years' experience working in strategic planning support, execution and security administration or similar environment and working in the Department of Defense or US Government.
  5. Proven ability to produce leadership decision products such as point papers, briefs, and conduct briefings to senior personnel.
  6. Ability to develop and implement strategy related to DSS operations.
  7. Experience producing leadership decision products, developing plans, conducting conferences, and presenting briefs to senior leadership
  8. Able to work multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Current Top Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS.
  10. Preferred Experience:
  1. Minimum of five (5) years' working in Strategic Planning and execution at DSS or closely related field. Work related experience examples are, but not limited to, areas of NISPOM requirements.
  2. A Master's Degree. Applicable work xxperience may substitute for a Master's Degree.
  3. Minimum of 15 years' experience writing technical manuals, operational directives, and/or policy documents.
  4. If selected, must be able to start work on short notice, in as little as three days.
