The DDG51 Post-Delivery Waterfront Manager is assigned to each ship avilability and acts as the focal point for technical and engineering efforts on the assigned Hull for each assigned avilability.

Duties and Responsibiliites:

  • Provide daily and weekly status reports and briefs to the assigned PMW 760 Integration Platform Manager (IPM), keeping them abreast of programmatic status to include both financial and technical issues.
  • Ensure approved C4I installations, upgrades and Trial Card corrections are on schedule for associated CNO availabilities.
  • Coordinate crew training with C4I ISEAs and system certifications in preparation for Post Repair Trials.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance checks are conducted while providing government oversight for all approved SCN/OPN funded work items.
  • Coordinate with the SPAWAR Ships Superintendent to ensure that C4I AIT's perform to Navy Installation standards.
  • Coordinate with the local C4I system ISEAs to ensure that C4I systems SMEs are available for Pre-Final Contract Trials, Final Contract Trial execution and Post Repair Trials.
  • Coordinate with the DDG 51 SCN IPM to provide funding, should it be required, to provide onsite support for technical assists.
  • Attend all PSA Planning and PSA 50% conferences, Production Reviews, daily progress meetings and Combat System Reviews and other Program related Meetings/teleconferences with PEO SHIPS, PEO IWS, Regional Maintenance Center, the Executing Shipyard Management and the Ship Representatives to ensure that cost, schedule and performance are maintained throughout ship PSAs.
  • Be prepared to de-conflict C4I schedules, should it be required.
  • Coordinate concurrent Planning/Execution of DDG 51 Class Final Contract Trial Support PSA Work packages utilizing onsite SME assets to help keep travel and per diem costs to a minimum.
  • Coordinate with PMW 760 Advance Planners, Baseline Managers, PHD Availability Planners and PARMs to identify OPN funded C4I alterations to pull ahead into SCN availabilities, following all established NMP processes.  
  • Ensure PMW 760 IPM has a complete understanding of the ships C4I material condition at all

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree OR 10 years' experience in military/shipbuilding program related position in lieu of degree.
  • Have a working knowledge of SHIPMAIN and proficiency with NDE/AMPS, SPIDER and NSDER with access to NDE EP, and the One Book.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Client/customer experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Active SECRET security clearance verifiable in JPAS prior to start date.
