We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst responsible for the monitoring of a newly awarded contract for Sayres and Associates Corporation. This position will provide oversight of all financial aspects of the government contract working closely with the Contracts Department on funding documents for three subcontractors, invoicing the contract and developing supplemental back up documents to support the invoice. The analyst will prepare financial status reports for contract and report findings and recommendations. The analyst will work for the Finance and Accounting organization and will interface between corporate finance and program managers regarding financial information on the respective contract and will access program financial data from the company's Deltek Costpoint accounting system.



  1. Serve as liaison and conduit for flow of financial information with Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager and corporate finance staff.
  2. Coordinate financial data calls with Program Manager and finance staff.
  3. Perform financial analysis for Revenue and Unbilled Reconciliation.
  4. Track costs, fee, hours by labor category, and labor rate by funded contract line items.
  5. Track and project future subcontractor costs and work with company's Contracts Department on funding modifications.
  6. Project contract execution based on current expenditures.
  7. Project impact of indirect rates on contract expenditures.
  8. Prepare monthly and semi-monthly invoices for submission to the government.
  9. Interface with accounting (Payroll and Accounts Payable) on all contractual financial charges labor, subcontract, consultant, travel and material costs.
  10. Complete monthly corporate financial reports.
  11. Complete contract forecasts and provide financial information for annual business plan.
  12. EAC/ETC development CLIN/SLIN level.
  13. Work with purchasing group Purchase Requisitions for material purchases.
  14. Involvement in year-end accounting close and external and internal audits.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, and Skills Requirement: 

  1. Bachelor's Degree.
  2. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in financial management and program control.
  3. Ability to extract financial reporting, labor charging, cost accumulation and other financial execution requirements from all types of government contracts.
  4. Government contracting experience.
  5. Knowledge of government contracting, contracts types (CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, T&M, and FFP), indirect rates and how they are applied to costs, ability to read government contracts and contract modifications, and general business knowledge.
  6. Ability to work independently, liaison effectively with Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager and Corporate Finance Team and lead all project financial execution and reporting requirements.
  7. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.      
  8. Must be a strong team player and willing to multi-task in a growing corporation.

  2. Deltek / Costpoint experience.
  3. GCS Premier a plus
  4. Excel pivot table experience a plus.
