Responsibilities

The Business Financial Management (BFM) Task Lead will support the DDG 51 Shipbuilding Program and be responsible for the following:

  1. Apply expert knowledge of DoD Programming, Planning, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) for a DoD program/project office with emphasis on program planning, budget, and funds execution.
  2. Lead a team across multiple sites to provide direct support to the Navy program Business and Financial Branch Head and provide financial inputs to the PM/BFM reports and senior level briefings.
  3. Apply knowledge to support the Navy's use of DoD financial accounting systems including Program Budget Information System (PBIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System (NEPS).
  4. Apply knowledge in supporting the Navy's development of financial documentation with emphasis on SCN.
  5. Lead SMEs and Task Leads in preparing acquisition and budget financial reporting including Selected Acquisition Report (SAR), Department Acquisition Executive Report (DAES), Acquisition Program Baselines (APBs), Budget Exhibits, Obligation Phasing and Allocation Spend Plans, and Total Program Costs.
  6. Support the Navy business, financial, and acquisition reporting data information systems and documents to provide support to  Budget Execution, Budget Development and Defense, Accounting Reconciliation, and Acquisition Reporting.
  7. Establish and manage processes to develop and update business, financial, and acquisition reports.
  8. Lead efforts to maintain financial status, historical records, reports, and assessments to identify program resource shortfalls, obligations, and expenditures.
  9. Assist in developing and defending budget resource requirements and QA of documentation delivered to customers.


Qualifications & Clearance Requirements 

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements:  

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Financial Management, or Accounting OR a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of demonstrated in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in the field in lieu of a degree.
  2. Seven (7) years of supervisory experience directly related to supporting DoD program offices with emphasis on program planning, budget preparation and justification, and funds execution.
  3. Active Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS.
